Essential Care Procedure

The 4-Step Drip Acclimation Protocol

Moving a live fish into a new aquatic environment is a sensitive biological transition. Following our verified acclimation guide ensures virtually zero osmotic shock.

Step 1
๐ŸŒก๏ธ

Temperature Float (15 - 20 Mins)

Float the sealed transport bag in your aquarium for 15 to 20 minutes with aquarium lights turned off. This gradually balances water temperature between the shipping bag and your aquarium without exposing the water to air.

Key Tip: Do not open the bag yet. Retaining the internal sealed oxygen pocket prevents premature pH spikes.
Step 2
๐Ÿ’ง

Drip Acclimation (30 - 45 Mins)

Carefully cut open the bag and pour the fish and water into a clean acclimation container. Run a small standard airline tube from your main tank, tied loosely in a knot, creating a slow drip of 2 to 3 drops per second into the container.

Goal: Double the water volume over 40 minutes, gradually equalizing pH, hardness (GH/KH), and conductivity.
Step 3
๐Ÿฅ…

Gentle Netting Transfer

Use a soft, fine-mesh aquatic net or specimen cup to gently capture the fish from the acclimation bucket and release them directly into your aquarium.

Critical Rule: Never dump transit water into your display tank! Always discard the transport water down the drain.
Step 4
๐ŸŒ™

Dark Tank Rest (4 Hours)

Keep your aquarium lights turned completely off for at least 4 to 6 hours after releasing your fish. Reduced light calms fish neurological receptors and minimizes curious aggression from existing tank inhabitants.

Feeding Note: Do not feed until the following morning once the fish has fully settled and displays normal swimming behavior.

How We Pack Fish for Safe Transit

We follow proven live fish shipping methods trusted by experienced aquarists across India:

๐ŸซงDouble Heavy-Duty Leak-Proof Bags

Thick virgin poly bags with rounded bottom corners so fish never get trapped in folds or corners during shipping.

๐ŸงŠThick Thermocol Insulation Box

Sturdy molded thermocol box creates a temperature buffer, protecting fish from ambient outdoor heat and road shocks.

๐Ÿ”ฅSeasonal Temperature Packs

Depending on weather along the courier route, we pack cooling gel or heat pads to keep the water temperature comfortable.

Healthy & Active Stock

Our 14-Day Conditioning & Observation Protocol

We never ship freshly received stock. Every fish is quarantined, conditioned, and monitored in clean water for two weeks before being made available on our store.

๐Ÿ”ฌ

Visual Health Check

Every specimen is inspected daily for intact finnage, clear eyes, active swimming, and healthy gill movement.

๐ŸŒฟ

Natural Conditioning

Conditioned with Indian almond leaves (Catappa), beneficial minerals, and clean aged water to build strong immunity.

๐Ÿฆ

Nutritious Feeding

Fed live daphnia, brine shrimp, and premium high-protein pellets so they have ample stamina before travel.
